Itinerary
Day 1 – Casablanca to Rabat
Hassan II mosque in Casablanca, then the capital, Rabat.
Day 2 – Rabat to Fes
Morning in Rabat, then drive to Fes through Meknes.
Day 3 – Fes
Guided tour of the oldest medina in Morocco.
Day 4 – Fes to the Sahara
Cross the Middle Atlas and the Ziz valley, with its long ribbon of palm groves, and reach Merzouga in the afternoon. A camel ride takes you into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset and a night under the stars in the camp.
Day 5 – Sahara
Sunrise in the dunes and a day around Merzouga: nomad families, oasis and music.
Day 6 – To the Dades valley
Sunrise over the dunes, then west through oasis villages to the towering walls of the Todgha gorge, and on to the Dades valley and its kasbahs.
Day 7 – Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech
Visit the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site, then cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n’Tichka pass to Marrakech.
Day 8 – Departure
Private transfer to the airport.
